I am eager to see how the auction turns out. As the mother of a 7 year-old boy with Asperger's, I have wanted to do the same with one of my paintings - to donate the auction proceeds to autism charities in the U.S. But I have been struggling with the idea that by doing so might mean, philosophically at least, that I do not value my son as he is presently. Nothing could be father from the truth; but this internal debate has slowed my progress to help others. Thank you for taking the lead, Daniel. You are inspirational.

I recently read your book, and have been plagued with thoughts and intrigue every day since. You're truly and inspiration to all, from those with Asperger's and other forms of autism to those who are considered to be "normal". I have always wanted to be a psychologist, and after reading about your book (and seeing your documentary a few months back) I have made it a personal goal to research Asperger's and (hopefully) work with a savant like yourself sometime in my life. Thank you for your book, and for your courage.

P.S.
I hope I didn't make too many mistakes in here. =D

Dear Daniel,
You have a sweet wise soul. I just finished your book and couldn't stop finding so many similarities to the things my 9 yr. old son has experienced. Before my research on Asperger's, I thought maybe I had poor parenting skills. Now I can better understand and truly honor his gifts and unique way of looking at the world. He memorizes everything and has dictated a long medieval movie he wants to direct! Our son has the benefit of 5 loving siblings and being homeschooled.
Thank you for opening up your life and being a voice for so many. I pray your auction and all your endeavors are blessed!!

Hello Daniel. Please let me know if you would like to come to California to participate in a gathering with some autistic children. You are an inspiration for them and their families. Thank You. Blanca*
